Online orders will be delivered on business days. No deliveries will be made on weekends or public holidays unless special arrangement has been made between SMCS Safety and the client.

Most standard orders* are sent via the Australia Post eParcel network because of its coverage, reliability, and affordability. At times we may send orders via courier depending on the location of stock to fulfil your order.

All deliveries must be signed for! Please be aware we will not leave parcels unattended for security reasons. Due to the nature of most products, we do not deliver to P.O. Boxes or Parcel Lockers unless a special agreement between SMCS Safety and the client has been arranged.

Goods in stock are generally despatched within 24 hours Monday-Friday (if in stock). If you are not home, Australia Post will leave a card for it to be collected at your nearest post-office. If your order is delivered via courier and you are not home, a card will be left to arrange re-delivery.

Heavy, Bulky & Over-Sized Orders

Heavy, bulky, over-sized items & some Special Orders must be sent via courier and generally incur different delivery charges. These charges are calculated based on the cubic size & weight of the item (or parcel) and the delivery location. The courier cost will be calculated based on the total parcel size during checkout. Because heavy or over-sized items are delivered by courier, we cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes or Parcel Lockers. Ensure you include a phone number that we can contact you on the day of delivery.

IMPORTANT: Special Orders

Special Order items are products which we don’t carry as part of our core range, but can be ordered from the supplier for you. If your order contains a Special Order item or we are out of stock of an item, an SMCS Safety Customer Service Officer will contact you to advise the expected delivery time. Delivery times will depend on supplier availability, but can take up to 5 – 10 days in addition to estimated delivery times. Also note that returning a Special Order item may be subject to a 20% re-stocking fee.

RETURNS

Returning Purchased Items

  • Goods must be unused and in original unopened packaging, with original ticketing and all accompanying instructions, manuals and other accompanying materials.
  • A copy of the SMCS Safety invoice or proof of purchase must be attached to all returned goods.
  • Refunds will be made in the same way as original payment for the goods.
  • Goods should be returned within 14 days of receipt.
  • Special Order items may be subject to a 20% re-stocking fee.
  • If posting products back, please call SMCS Safety Customer Service on 0451 448 661 to obtain a Returns Authorisation Number (RAN). The issue of a RAN is at SMCS Safety’s sole discretion.
  • Postage of returned goods is the responsibility of the person or company returning the goods.
  • Refunds will be processed using the original form of payment, excluding the original delivery charge (unless goods are returned in accordance with your statutory rights e.g. they are faulty or not as ordered).
  • Special Order items may be subject to a 20% re-stocking fee

Faulty Goods

Please call SMCS Safety on 0451 448 661 to discuss the fault and to confirm the terms of any manufacturer’s warranty. If approved, SMCS Safety will arrange to pick up the faulty goods. Depending on the nature of the fault, SMCS Safety will arrange a repair, exchange or refund. SMCS Safety reserves the right to use their nominated courier for returned goods. Proof of purchase will be required.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
